About the Firm: Vanuatu Nationality
The firm behind this site, how files are handled and who is responsible for them.
Nationality is a legal relationship between a person and a state. In Vanuatu it is governed by the Citizenship Act [CAP 112], which names several routes to it.
What we are not
Birth, descent, marriage, naturalisation and investment all appear in the statute, but only the last is realistically open to someone with no connection to the country. The others are described here as contrast.
What you will find here
We are not a government body and not the Citizenship Commission. Where we refer to the Act we do so by name, and we cite no article numbers that cannot be checked against it.
How we check what we publish
Figures on this site come from published government material and from the programme's own documents. Where a number is disputed in the industry — the count of visa-free destinations is the usual example — we give the figure we can support and say what it rests on.
